Two Towers Cottage
Grade II listed cottage opposite Montacute House, 2 pets
Two Towers Cottage is a Grade II listed house at 23 The Borough in Montacute, directly opposite the National Trust's Montacute House, whose Courtyard Cafe is close by. The village is near Yeovil and has a post office, a petrol station and two pubs, the Phelips Arms and the Kings Arms, each 0.1 miles away.
The house has a kitchen/breakfast area, a dining room and a sitting room, with a cloakroom downstairs. The double and twin bedrooms are up the stairs, and the bathroom has a bath and walk-in shower. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and dishwasher, and board games and books are provided. Gas central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included.
The staircase is steep and there is a step at the entrance, so the cottage is unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility or young children. Parking is in a public car park, unrestricted and first come, first served. The rear patio faces west and catches the afternoon sun. Two well-behaved pets are welcome, with no smoking and no barbecues.
The TV runs over the internet because there is no aerial, and the WiFi is generally reliable but can drop out in this rural village, so it should not be relied on for critical work. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a couple or two friends, with a pet or two.
