Holly Cottage

Holly Cottage dates from the 1700s and stands in West Coker, a village with two pubs, a post office and a family butcher, and the nearest shop and pub are 0.1 miles away. Yeovil is where the wider choice of restaurants and supermarkets is. The open-plan living area keeps its older details: bare brick around the windows, painted wood panelling and built-in window seats looking across the street, with an electric log-effect stove beside the sitting area.

The double bedroom has a built-in seat, an ornamental fireplace and roof beams, and the twin room suits children. The shower room, which has a walk-in shower, and the toilet are both downstairs. In the kitchen are an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with freezer compartment. Oil central heating, WiFi, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included, and a travel cot is available.

Outside is an enclosed rear courtyard garden with furniture. Parking is off-road, to the rear, and fits one medium-sized family car. There are steps at the front of the house. One well-behaved dog is welcome but must be supervised at all times and kept on a lead outside the garden. Smoking is not allowed, one-night bookings are not accepted, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. An early check-in may be possible for an extra charge.

It suits a couple or small family, with one dog if wanted.
