The Taunton Half Marathon returns on Sunday 28 February 2027 for its 41st running. The race starts at 10am in the town centre, follows a closed-road course through and around Taunton, and finishes on North Street with the historic Market House as the backdrop.
What to expect
The 2026 edition drew more than 2,000 entries and 1,780 half marathon finishers. Active South West stages the race. The 2027 half marathon has a four-hour cut-off and is open to runners aged 17 and over. Leading male and female runners in the open and veteran categories receive awards. Every finisher receives a medal.
Younger runners can enter the Kids Kilometre Fun Run, which starts at 10.15am from the same start and finish area, so a family can race and spectate in the same place.
