Frome Festival is the town’s community arts festival, and the 2027 edition is set for Friday 2 to Sunday 11 July. The festival draws approximately 30,000 attendees a year.
What to expect
The 2026 festival, which marked its 25th anniversary, had 300 events, workshops and activities in more than 50 venues around the town, from concert halls and theatres to churches, pubs and parks. The mix covers music, performance, family activities, creative workshops, historical talks, wellbeing sessions and walks. A large part of the programme is organised by local venues, artists and community groups, so the festival feels rooted in the town.
Prices are kept low. More than half of the 2026 events were free or cost under £5. The festival also runs a Treasure Hunt and the Crysse Morrison Prize for Poetry.
