Shippon Barn

Shippon Barn sits next door to the owner's bed and breakfast in Mudford Sock, a hamlet 2.4 miles from Yeovil. The whole barn is on one level. French doors open into an open-plan room that combines the kitchen, dining area and a sitting area, where two sofas wrap around a woodburning stove.

The bedrooms are a king-size double and a twin, each with its own TV. The bathroom has a bath and a separate walk-in shower. In the kitchen are an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer, and three Smart TVs, a DVD player and WiFi are provided. Heating is biomass central heating plus the stove, with fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels.

Outside there is an enclosed garden with a patio and furniture, and the patio looks out to the countryside. Off-road parking is ample. One well-behaved dog is welcome and smoking is not allowed. The nearest shop and pub are 2 miles away, so a car is useful.

Stays are a minimum of 2 nights, and Christmas bookings need 7 nights. For any other length, ask before booking.

It suits a couple, or two friends, wanting a quiet single-level base with a dog.
