All-ground-floor barn conversion near Yeovil, 1 dog

Tom's Barn is a detached barn conversion in Mudford Sock, 3 miles from Yeovil, arranged on a single level. French doors open into one large room with exposed beams, big windows, sofas facing a Smart TV, and a kitchen with granite worktops and a breakfast bar. The Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within easy reach for walking and cycling, and the barn looks out to countryside views.

Cooking is covered by a double electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Both bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, have their own Smart TV and look onto the garden, and the bathroom has a bath and a walk-in shower. WiFi, biomass central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included.

Outside, the front garden is enclosed, with gravel, a patio and furniture. Two cars fit in the off-road parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and smoking is not allowed. The nearest shop is 1.2 miles away and the nearest pub 1.9 miles.

Stays must be at least two nights, rising to seven over Christmas. The barn can also be booked with another property, sleeping eight in all. It suits a family of four, or two couples, who would rather not climb stairs.
