The Mill

The Mill is a converted mill on Meadowsweet Farm, one mile from Bicknoller, set on a bank beside a stream. The original millstone is still in the farmhouse-style dining room. It is one of four cottages on the farm, which has 30 acres of working farmland.

The layout runs over three floors and has steps in several places. The kitchen and living area share an open-plan room on the ground floor. A few steps lead down to the lower ground floor, where the twin bedroom and the bathroom are, and a couple of steps lead up to the dining room, which opens onto the mill pond garden. The double bedroom is on the first floor and looks over the farm. The bathroom has a freestanding bath, a basin and a WC. A cot is available.

Outside is a private garden with a patio and furniture. A deep mill pond lies alongside the cottage, and children and dogs must be supervised. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Parking is off the road for one car.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge/freezer, and there is oil central heating, WiFi, a TV with Freeview, a DVD player, and a selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The village shop and pub are a mile away.

It suits a couple or a grown-up family who like having the bedrooms apart on different levels, and who are happy with steps.
