The Secret Garden is a shepherd's hut for two, set in its own garden with views across Exmoor, in the village of Withypool. The pub is 500 yards away and the shop 200 yards, and the nearest beach is 12 miles off. The setting is secluded.
Inside is a single room with a wood burner (the first basket of logs is included), a Smart TV and a kitchen area with a gas hob, an electric oven and a fridge with an ice compartment. The bed is a double that pulls down, so the living space and the sleeping space are the same room. A walk-in shower and a WC complete the hut. The wifi is Starlink. Robes and slippers are provided.
The garden has seating, a swinging daybed, a firepit and a charcoal barbecue, which suits evenings outside once the weather allows. Private parking is for one car, and the hut has no separate bedroom, so everything happens in one room.
One dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is before 10:00. It suits a couple who want a compact hut with a fire in the evenings and are happy to share one room.
