Creenagh's Cottage

Creenagh's Cottage is a refurbished annexe to the owners' farmhouse at Knighton Farm in Withypool, up a well-kept track about a mile long. The farm is a working one, with cows, pigs, goats, sheep, geese, alpacas and chickens, and it comes with 50 acres of land and fishing rights on the River Barle. The cottage sleeps two.

The ground floor has an open-plan lounge and dining area with a woodburning stove, two steps up to the dining end, and a separate kitchen overlooking the garden. A shower room is also on this floor. The king-size bedroom takes the whole first floor, with a sloping ceiling, exposed beams and a dressing table. Biomass central heating runs alongside the stove, and bed linen, towels, fuel and power are in the rent.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge and a washing machine. There is a TV with Freeview and a DVD player, WiFi and a selection of books, games and DVDs. Mobile reception is very limited. A travel cot and a highchair are available.

Outside is a sheltered patio and an enclosed garden with furniture and a barbecue. Parking is off the road for two cars, and there is lockable storage. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome but must stay on leads around the farm because of the animals. The shop and pub are a 25-minute walk away. There is no smoking.

It suits a couple, with or without a dog, who like a farm setting.
