Bradley Stables

Bradley Stables is built for guests who bring animals: horse stabling and dog kennels can be reserved for an added cost, three well-behaved dogs are welcome, and a bridleway and walking path run at the back of the property. The barn conversion stands on a working stable yard in Withypool, inside Exmoor National Park, and it sleeps two.

Everything is on the ground floor. The bedroom has a super-king-size bed that zips and links, so it can be set up as twins on request, along with a Smart TV. The shower room has a walk-in double shower, a heated towel rail, a basin and a WC, though there is one step up into it. The open-plan living space joins the kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The woodburner there is for decoration only, and underfloor heating keeps the floors warm.

The kitchen has an electric oven, a ceramic hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a tumble dryer, a washing machine and a slimline dishwasher. There are two Smart TVs, WiFi and an Amazon smart speaker, and bed linen, towels, fuel and power are in the rent. A travel cot and a highchair can be requested.

Because the yard is a working one, dogs must stay on a lead outside. Guests can use the large heated indoor pool by arrangement with the owners, who share it with another property on the site. There is a patio with furniture, and parking is off the road for one car. Along the bridleway lies Withypool and its Royal Oak pub, and the nearest shop and pub are both 1.5 miles away. Breaks of seven nights or more change over on a Friday. There is no smoking, and a good housekeeping bond is payable.

It suits a couple with a dog or two, or a rider who wants stabling nearby.
