CJ Cottage

CJ Cottage is a single-storey property in Withypool, within the Somerset part of Exmoor. It sleeps four in a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The layout suits a family or friends who want a village base with two enclosed courtyards and room to bring up to four dogs.

The main bathroom has a separate bath, walk-in shower and WC. The double bedroom also has an en-suite WC, which is an additional toilet rather than a second bathroom. The open-plan living room has a large window and a wood-burner-effect gas fire. Guests should expect a gas appliance, rather than a stove requiring logs.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with a small freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. Smart TVs are provided in the property. Outside, the two private courtyards have furniture and a barbecue. Guests can also use the owner's landscaped garden, where dogs must be kept on leads because chickens and ducks are present.

Parking is provided for two cars. A pub and shop are 200 metres away, while the riverbank is about 50 metres away, so children need supervision around the water. Fishing rights are mentioned for the river; check the arrangements before bringing equipment. Four dogs are allowed. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00.
