Foxlair Cottage

Foxlair Cottage is a farm cottage in Withypool, in Somerset, within Exmoor National Park. The farm keeps cows, goats, pigs, sheep, geese and alpacas, and guests are welcome to walk the 50 or so acres of land. It has one king-size bedroom and sleeps two, all on a single floor.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area has breakfast-bar seating and two sofas in front of the TV, and French doors open to the garden. There is a utility and boot room, and the bathroom has a separate shower, basin and WC. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge with an ice-box. Biomass heating runs the house, and there is a TV, a DVD player and WiFi. Bed linen and towels are provided, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

The rear garden is enclosed, with a patio, furniture and a barbecue. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and it must be kept on a lead around the farm animals. Confirm the pet policy when booking. The Royal Oak Inn is about a 25-minute walk away, as is the shop. Mobile signal is limited, and there is no smoking.

It suits a couple or a small family who prefer one level and an enclosed garden.
