The Cottage

The Cottage is a detached house in a conservation area in the centre of Watchet, close enough to the marina that shops, a pub and the harbour are two minutes away on foot. Most of the first-floor bedrooms look over the marina, one of them opens onto a balcony with outdoor furniture, and a second sitting room upstairs has views out to sea.

Four bedrooms take up to 8 guests: a king-size, a twin pair, a second twin, and a ground-floor double with its own en-suite walk-in shower. Elsewhere are a bathroom with bath and shower over, a shower room and a ground-floor WC. A travel cot and highchair are provided.

Downstairs there is a kitchen with a range cooker, a dishwasher and a washing machine, a separate dining room, and a sitting room whose woodburner is supplied with fuel and a starter pack. French doors lead from the sitting room to a lawned, enclosed garden with a patio, furniture and a barbecue. The back door from the kitchen opens to the garden and the off-road parking, which takes 2 cars.

One well-behaved dog is welcome. Gas central heating, power, bed linen and towels are all in the rent, WiFi is included, and smoking is not allowed. A good housekeeping bond is payable.

It suits a family or two couples who want a ground-floor bedroom, a balcony and a garden, and who bring no more than one dog.
