Harbour Cottage

Harbour Cottage is a three-storey terraced house in Watchet whose back terrace sits right against the harbour. From it you can see the marina and, across the Bristol Channel, the Welsh coast. A stable door leads out to a private patio, and on the other side you step out into Market Street, with a shop and a pub 0.1 miles away.

The living space is a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with a log burner, plus a snug. Two king-size bedrooms and a super-king-size with a TV and en-suite shower are upstairs. The main bathroom has a bath, a hand-held shower and a separate shower. The fourth bedroom is a twin on the second floor, reached by a turning stairwell with a low beam, and it has a table tennis area.

Heating is gas central heating plus the log burner, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. The kitchen has an electric range oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine, and there are two TVs and WiFi. A highchair is available on request.

Parking is a permit for one car in the car park opposite the cottage; further cars can be paid for at the machine there. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and smoking is not allowed. Most weekly stays run Thursday to Thursday, and a good housekeeping bond is payable.

It suits two families or a group of friends who want sea views from the terrace, and it is a poor fit for anyone wary of three floors and a low beam.
