Summer Lodge

Summer Lodge is a one-bedroom lodge in Nether Stowey, in the Quantock Hills, with Crowcombe nearby. It has panoramic views across the Somerset Levels. Pubs and shops are within 1 mile, and the pebbled beach at Kilve is 3 miles away.

The open-plan lounge has an electric fire and a wall-mounted TV with a DVD player. A kitchen/diner with a breakfast bar has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a fridge/freezer with an ice compartment. The bedroom has a super king-size bed, a built-in wardrobe and floor-to-ceiling windows over the fields, with an en-suite shower room and WC. Wi-Fi, central heating and electricity are included.

In the enclosed garden there is a lawn, a large patio with BBQ facilities and a hot tub covered by a wooden pagoda. Two dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.

The lodge is unsuitable for babies and infants. Pubs and shops are within a mile, and the village has Nether Stowey Castle, an earthworks site, and the National Trust-owned former home of the poet Coleridge in its centre. It suits a couple who want a hot tub, a dog and a quiet evening.
