Harri's Hut

Harri's Hut is a single-storey hut for two in West Bagborough, within the Quantock Hills, near Bishop's Lydeard and some way from Crowcombe. It is off grid and has no electricity, so you will need a battery pack to charge phones, although phone signal is good.

The one room combines a double bed, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove; the fuel and a starter pack are included in the rent, as are bed linen and towels. The kitchen, with a hob and kettle, is external, as are the shower room with its walk-in shower and the cloakroom with basin and WC. The garden wraps around the hut and holds the external kitchen and shower room.

There are steps up to the property, so take care. Bookings need at least three nights and cannot start on a Saturday or Sunday. One well-behaved pet is welcome, smoking is not allowed, and there is off-road parking for one car. The nearest pub is a mile away and the shop is three miles.

It suits a couple, perhaps with a pet, who are happy to do without mains power and want a small base for walking in the Quantocks.
