Russet Cottage

Russet Cottage is a single-storey cottage for eight, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Its private entrance door is one of four on a complex of adjoining properties at Badgworth, in the Mendips, near Mark. The complex has a micro-brewery and tap room that open several nights a week.

The bedrooms are two king-size rooms, one of them en-suite, a king-size zip-and-link room that can be set up as 2ft 6in twin beds on request, and a twin room. Besides the en-suite shower room there is a bathroom with a hand-held shower over the bath and a separate shower room. The shared living space is open plan, with a vaulted ceiling and exposed stone walls, a kitchen, a lounge with a wood burner and Smart TV, and a dining table.

In the kitchen are an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a microwave and a fridge/freezer. The first basket of logs is included, and a travel cot and highchair are available on request. Doors from the lounge lead to an enclosed garden with a patio, lawn, furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Four off-road parking spaces come with the cottage.

Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges. The beach is 7 miles away, the nearest shop 5 miles and the pub 1.5 miles. The cottage suits two families or a group of friends who want separate bedrooms and an enclosed garden for the dogs. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is before 10:00.
