River View

Take the steps up to River View and you are on the first floor of a building in Allerford, inside Exmoor National Park and near Porlock. The lounge and dining room have panelled walls and leaded windows over the stream, and a private balcony with seating faces Pack Horse Bridge. Both bedrooms have a Smart TV: one holds a king-size bed, the other a twin zip-and-link that becomes a king-size if you ask when booking. The apartment sleeps 4.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, Nespresso machine, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, and the family shower room has a walk-in shower and WC. The lounge has a Smart TV as well. Beyond the building, a courtyard, walled garden and terrace with tables and chairs are shared, and a secure space is set aside for bicycles.

Two cars fit in the off-road parking, and free local parking is available about 50 metres away. For electric cars, standard mains overnight charging is available for a fee payable directly to the owner, and there are 2 charge points in Porlock, 1.5 miles away. One dog is welcome, with additional charges possible. The village shop and tea room are 50 metres off, the nearest pubs are 1.5 miles away in Porlock, and the beach at Bossington is a mile away. The owners are on site, and a neighbouring property for a further 2 guests can be booked alongside. The apartment suits a couple or a family of four, provided the flight of steps to the door is not a problem.
