Railway Cottage - Minehead

Railway Cottage is a Victorian former railway worker's cottage in Minehead, overlooking the West Somerset Steam Railway station and about 300 metres from the sandy beach. A garden path leads to the front door, and the front garden has a seating area with a dining table and chairs. At the back is an enclosed courtyard garden with cafe-style seating.

Downstairs is an open-plan lounge and dining area with a Smart TV and a wood-burner-effect electric fire, a kitchen with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, a utility room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer, and a ground-floor shower room with a large walk-in shower. Upstairs are a king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with USB charging points. A welcome pack is provided.

Both bedrooms open straight onto a very small landing, so care is needed and the cottage may not suit very young children. Private parking is for one car, suitable for a family-sized car or small SUV. Roadside parking nearby and an adjacent car park are also available, with parking fees. The cottage does not accept 21 or 28 night stays. Dogs are not allowed.

The beach, shops and pubs are within 1 mile, and a supermarket is 0.5 miles away. Railway Cottage sleeps four and suits two couples or a family with older children who are travelling without a dog. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00.
