Old Holcombe South Barn

Old Holcombe South Barn is one of four properties in a rural setting near Wiveliscombe and Washford. It sleeps four in two bedrooms. The barn suits a family or a small group who want a country base with room for three dogs, provided the galleried sleeping area and nearby pond work for the group.

The double bedroom is on a gallery overlooking the lounge, so it is open to sounds from the sitting area. A twin bedroom is also on the first floor. The bathroom is downstairs, with a free-standing roll-top bath, separate walk-in shower and WC. That arrangement means both bedrooms use the same bathroom on a different floor.

The lounge has a wood burner with the first logs provided, a Smart TV and DVD player. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and fridge/freezer. A shared utility room has a washing machine and clothes airer. There is a dog-washing area for muddy returns from walks.

The enclosed patio has seating and looks over a pond, so children need supervision outside. Guests share six acres of grounds where cows and sheep may be present. A separate paddock can be used when free of sheep; do not assume it is always available. Three dogs are allowed. The shop is two miles away, the pub one mile away, and arrival is from 16:30.
