Gatekeeper's Cottage

Everything at Gatekeeper's Cottage is on one level. It stands at Bilbrook, near Minehead and the village of Washford. A kitchen/diner and a sitting room make up the living space, and the kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, an air fryer, a coffee maker, a dishwasher and a fridge/freezer.

The garden is the main draw. Enclosed at the rear, it has decking, a lawn, furniture, a barbecue and a hot tub. A stream runs through it, so children and pets must be supervised at all times. Parking is off-road for two cars, the nearest pub is 0.6 miles away, a shop 1.9 miles and a river 1.1 miles.

There are three bedrooms. The super-king-size has an en-suite with a walk-in shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. The twin is separate, and the child's bunk room is entered through the super-king-size. A bathroom with a bath, basin and WC serves the rest of the house. The Smart TV, WiFi, a selection of books, oil central heating, bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not allowed. Check-in is on Fridays only; ask the owner if you need a different day.

It suits a family of up to six, or a couple with friends, who want a hot tub, a garden for dogs and everything on one level.
