Old Bridge Post Office

Old Bridge Post Office is a semi-detached cottage in Roadwater, on the edge of Exmoor National Park and near Washford. The shop with its coffee shop is 0.1 miles away and the pub 0.3 miles.

Downstairs, a kitchen/diner has a woodburner, and the sitting room has Sky TV, with Netflix and WiFi across the three TVs. A river room of 5 metres by 4 has bifolding doors and a glass balustrade overlooking the river, and holds a sofa bed, which does not add to the capacity of four. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a TV: a super-king-size whose beds zip and link and can be set as twins on request, and a king-size. The bathroom has a free-standing bath, a hand-held shower, a separate walk-in shower, a basin and a WC. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer and a washing machine. Ceilings are low, so mind your head. Electric central heating works alongside the woodburner, and fuel, power, a starter pack, bed linen and towels are included.

Parking is on the street. A highchair and travel cot are available. Dogs are allowed, either one medium or two small, but not upstairs, and smoking is not allowed.

It suits a family of four, or two couples, who like a village base with a dog.
