Hatfield House
Georgian house with canal views, open fire and garden
Hatfield House is a restored Georgian house in Bath with views over the Avon Canal, Camden Crescent and Bathwick Hill. It sleeps five. Prior Park Gardens and the footpaths above Widcombe are each about a mile away, and the Royal Crescent is just over 2 miles.
The lounge has an open fire in a cast iron fireplace, with the first basket of logs supplied. The kitchen/diner has wooden floorboards, a gas oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine, and shares its level with the family bathroom, which has a roll-top bath and a separate shower. A utility cupboard on the bedroom floor has a washing machine.
The three bedrooms are downstairs: an en-suite king-size, a twin zip-and-link that can be made up as a super-king on request, and a single. The enclosed lawned garden has a patio, outdoor furniture and a BBQ.
Parking is a reserved private space 10 minutes' walk away, or a public car park less than a mile off, subject to availability. You can pull up at the front to unload, but the lane is very narrow and turning is hard when cars are parked. The pub is less than half a mile away and the shop 1 mile.
It suits a family of up to five who are comfortable with a walk to the car. Dogs are not allowed.
