Church Farmhouse

Church Farmhouse is a wing of the owner's barn conversion in the south Somerset village of Winsham, near Chard and the borders with Dorset and Devon. It sleeps 8 over four bedrooms, one of them with an en-suite, and there are three bathrooms in all: the en-suite, a family bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath and a separate shower, and a ground-floor shower room.

The sitting room has a woodburning stove, and the kitchen has an electric AGA, an induction hob, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher, plus a utility and a snug. There are two TVs with Freeview, DVDs, WiFi and a Fire Stick, and a selection of books, games and DVDs. The garden is enclosed and lawned, with a patio, furniture and a pond that is fenced.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The owner lives next door, separately, and has 3 dogs and 3 cats of their own. Parking is off-road for 3 cars, possibly 4. The stairs are steep cottage stairs and some doorways are low, so the house may not suit anyone with limited mobility or very young children. There is a stairgate, and a travel cot and highchair are available on request. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent and smoking is not allowed. A shop and a pub are a five-minute walk away.

It suits a group of up to eight, and a pair of dogs, provided everyone is comfortable with the stairs and low doors.
