Barrack Cottage

Barrack Cottage is in Winsham, a village near Chard. A shop, a family pub and a playground are all within short walking distance, and the beach is 15 miles away.

The ground floor has a kitchen/diner with a range cooker, an integrated fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and a coffee machine, and one step up from it is a utility room with a washing machine and a WC. The lounge has a TV/DVD, a surround sound system and a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included. Three bedrooms are on the first floor: a double with an en-suite shower room, another double and a twin. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath.

French doors lead from the lounge to a patio with seating and a gas BBQ, and steps lead to an enclosed lawned garden. All the upstairs windows sit at floor level, so children need watching. Parking is roadside for one car, and towels can be hired.

Dogs are not allowed. Arrival is from 5pm and departure is before 10am. It suits a family of six, or three couples, that wants a village with a playground and a pub on the doorstep, and does not need to bring a dog.
