Bluebell Lodge, Meadow view lodges

Bluebell Lodge is a detached, single-storey lodge in Berrow, near Brean. It sleeps six in three bedrooms: a double with an en-suite walk-in shower, a second double and a twin. A separate bathroom has a bath, and the shower there is overhead.

Two cars fit in the off-road parking. From there you go straight into the open-plan living space, which has a kitchen, a dining table for six and a sitting area with a TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge/freezer, and there is a washing machine. Heating is by oil central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

The garden is fenced off and private, and a rear patio has furniture for eating outside. Two well-behaved pets are accepted. The shop is 2 miles away, the pub 1.7 miles and the beach 1.9 miles. Animal Farm Adventure Park is on the doorstep.

Two things to plan for. WiFi can be intermittent because of the location, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. Smoking is not allowed. Bluebell Lodge can be booked in conjunction with a second lodge, and the two together sleep 12. It suits a family or a group of six who want a single-storey layout with a fenced garden for their pets.
