Worthy Barn

Worthy Barn is a grade 2 listed barn conversion in Porlock Weir, on the Somerset coast inside Exmoor National Park. The harbour, with its pub, is less than half a mile away, and Porlock village is 2 miles off. The beach is 0.1 miles from the door, and the house stands down a quiet lane.

The entrance hall leads to a utility area with a washing machine and fridge/freezer, then a kitchen with two dishwashers and large glazed doors that frame the sea view. On the ground floor are a king-size bedroom with its own shower room and a twin room, served by two shower rooms between them. Upstairs are a second en-suite king-size bedroom, a bedroom with a full-size bunk bed that suits children and adults alike, and a family bathroom with a bath. The first-floor sitting room has a woodburning stove and French doors onto a roof terrace overlooking Porlock Bay.

Fuel, power and the starter pack for the stove are covered in the rent, as are bed linen and towels. The rear garden has a lawn and a pond, so children must be supervised there at all times. A highchair is available, the house has Wifi, and there is an EV charger. The private driveway beside the house takes two to three cars, and the house is no smoking.

One dog is welcome. Confirm the pet policy when booking. A Good Housekeeping bond is payable on top of the rent.

It suits two families or a group of friends who want to sleep eight adults, with a king-size bedroom downstairs, near the water.
