Porlock Sunnyside

Porlock Sunnyside is on a no-through road in Porlock, in an elevated position, and the approach to the front door and the garden is by steep stone steps. Inside, the stairs are steep too, which may not suit young children. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two king-size and one twin, each with wardrobe space, plus a bathroom with a slipper bath, separate shower and WC. A second shower room with a WC is on the ground floor.

The lounge has a woodburner, with the first basket of logs included, a Smart TV and a DVD player, and there is a sun room as well as a dining room with plenty of seating. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and an Airfryer. The washer/dryer is in the ground-floor shower room, and a rear hallway has space for walking boots and coats. One king-size bedroom also has a Smart TV. No cot, highchair or stairgate is provided.

The enclosed terraced garden is reached by more steep stone steps. It has a lawn, and further steps lead up to a patio with garden furniture and views across the valley. One dog is allowed, with additional charges possible. Parking is not at the door: it is roadside or in a layby 50 to 100 metres from the house. The beach is 2 miles away, and shops and pubs in Porlock are within walking distance. The house suits a group of up to six adults or older children who are comfortable with steps, and a couple with a dog.
