Wisteria Cottage - Somerset

Thatched and Grade II-listed, Wisteria Cottage stands at the foot of the Quantock Hills, near Taunton, and sleeps two. Trails across the Quantocks start 2.5 miles away and Exmoor ponies can be seen 5.5 miles off. Ramscombe Great Wood and Fairy Land both lie within 6 miles. A pub and shop are 1.5 miles from the door and the beach is 8 miles.

The living room has exposed beams, slate floors and a wood burner, with the first basket of logs supplied from October to April. It also has a Smart TV. A snug off the living room has a writing desk, books and a record player. The fitted kitchen has an electric hob and oven, a fridge with an ice compartment, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine.

The single bedroom, which sits beyond the snug, has a queen-size bed and an adjoining shower room with a shower and WC.

Double patio doors open to a private patio and lawn with dining furniture, beside a stream. Private parking is for two cars. One dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00.

It suits a couple, particularly one travelling with a dog, who want a quiet base within reach of the Quantocks.
