Willow

Some rules first. Dogs are not allowed at Willow, CCTV covers the exterior of the lodge and the surrounding areas, and the booking is for 2 guests. A lounge sofa bed for 2 adults can be requested, but it is not counted in that figure. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out before 10:00.

Willow is a log lodge at Drayton, near Langport, and one of eight similar properties on extensive shared grassland. The front veranda is open and covered, and a second veranda sits outside the bedroom.

Indoors, the open-plan room has a sofa, a Smart TV and a wood burner with the first basket of logs included. The kitchen is against the back wall with an electric two-ring hob, a combi microwave oven and a fridge. A hallway leads to the bedroom with its king-size bed, and the modern shower room with WC is beside it.

The decking at the back is furnished and faces the countryside. Parking is 2 off-road spaces roughly 100 metres from the lodge, with unloading possible right outside. A pub and a shop are within 1 mile. Willow suits two adults who want a wood burner and a bed for two on open grassland.
