Maple

Maple is a log lodge at Drayton, about 2 miles from Langport. Arrival begins at the parking: private off-road space for 2 cars, 100 metres from the lodge. The lodge is one of eight similar ones on shared grassland, and its front faces an open covered veranda.

Inside, the open-plan room has a sofa, a Smart TV and a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included. The kitchen runs along the back wall with an electric two-ring hob, a combi microwave oven and a fridge, and there is a dining space close by. An inner hallway leads to the single bedroom, which has a king-size bed and doors onto a second veranda. The shower room with WC is next to the bedroom.

At the back, private decking comes with furniture. CCTV covers the exterior of the lodge and the surrounding areas. A pub and a shop are both within 1 mile. The covered veranda at the front is open to the air, and the decking at the back is private to the lodge.

Maple is booked for 2. Dogs are not allowed. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is before 10:00. It suits a couple who want a countryside break without a dog.
