Beech

Beech is a bespoke-built lodge at Curry Rivel, near Langport, and one of eight similar lodges spread through shared grassland. It is arranged for two guests. A covered veranda leads to the front door, and a second veranda opens off the bedroom.

The open-plan living area has a sofa, a wood burner with the first basket of logs included, and a Smart TV, and the dining area faces the kitchen across the room. The kitchen runs along one wall and has a two-ring electric hob, a combi microwave oven and a fridge, with a dining area opposite. An inner hallway leads to the bedroom, which has a king-size bed, and next to it is a shower room with WC. A sofa bed in the lounge can be requested for two adults, but the lodge is booked for two. Wi-Fi is available.

At the back is private decking with furniture. Parking is the main thing to plan around: two off-road spaces are available about 100 metres from the lodge, and you can unload outside. The pub and shop are within 1 mile.

Dogs are not allowed. Arrival is from 3pm and departure before 10am. It suits a couple who want a compact base with a log burner.
