Hazel

At Curry Rivel, near Langport, Hazel is one of eight similar properties spread across shared grassland, and it takes two guests. A covered veranda leads to the entrance, and the bedroom doors open onto a second veranda. The single bedroom has a king-size bed.

Inside, the open-plan living area has a sofa, a woodburner with the first basket of logs included, and a Smart TV. The kitchen runs along one wall at the back of the room with a two-ring electric hob, a combi microwave oven and a fridge, and there is space to dine opposite. Beyond the inner hallway are the king-size bedroom and, next door, the shower room with WC. Wi-Fi is available. A lounge sofa bed can be requested for two adults, though the booking is for two.

Private decking with outdoor furniture overlooks the countryside behind the lodge, while an open covered veranda runs along the front. Parking is in a car park 100 metres away, with private off-road spaces for two cars. The pub and shop are within 1 mile. Dogs are not allowed. Arrival is from 3pm and departure before 10am. It suits a couple who want a short walk from the car and a quiet evening by the stove.
