Willow Barn

Willow Barn is the larger half of a converted dairy on the edge of Cucklington, a South Somerset village close to the market town of Wincanton. It is attached to Little Barn next door, stands close to the owners' home, and is on one level throughout. Up to four can stay.

Guests come in from the patio, where there is garden furniture, through a porch to an open-plan room holding the kitchen and breakfast area, the dining space and the sofas. A double bedroom and a twin sit either side of a shower room that has a basin and WC. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge freezer and a microwave, there is a TV with a DVD player and a CD radio, and WiFi is included.

The washing machine, a tumble dryer, an iron and an ironing board are in a laundry room that is shared with Little Barn. Oil central heating warms the barn, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. Parking is off-road.

The shop is 3 miles away and the pub 2 miles, and the A303 is within 4 miles. Some rules to know: there is a minimum booking of 3 nights and anything shorter is cancelled, children under 5 are not accepted, business bookings are not accepted, and pets are not allowed. Smoking is not permitted either. Willow Barn suits two couples, or a family with older children, who like a quiet farm-country base and a car.
