The Old Bull Stall

The Old Bull Stall is a period cottage converted from a former barn, on the owner's working farm in the hamlet of Penselwood, four miles from Wincanton and five from Gillingham. Free-range hens, sheep, shire horses, cattle, ducks and geese live on the farm, so young children need supervising at all times because of the farm equipment and animals.

Upstairs is a double bedroom. On the ground floor are a twin with an additional fold-out bed, which does not raise the capacity of four, and a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC. The kitchen is small, and the sitting room combines a dining area with a gas woodburner. Electric wall panel heaters cover the rest, and a heated towel rail is in the bathroom. There is WiFi and a TV, and fuel, power and bed linen are included. Use of the owner's washing machine is by arrangement.

Guests share the owner's lawned garden, which has garden furniture, and park off the road with room for 2 cars. The nearest shop and pub are 2 miles away.

One well-behaved dog is welcome and must be kept on a lead while on the property. Smoking is not allowed.

It suits a couple or a small family with a dog who are happy to share a farm setting.
