Lavender Lodge

Lavender Lodge is a single-storey detached cottage in the village of Charlton Horethorne, on the Somerset side of the border with Dorset and five miles from Wincanton. It is one of two lodges in the grounds of the owners' farm cottages, and everything is on the ground floor.

The open-plan room holds the fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a flame-effect electric fire. The king-size double has a TV with Freeview and an en-suite shower, basin and WC; the twin shares a separate bathroom with a bath. A washing machine, a microwave, two TVs, a DVD player, WiFi and a selection of books and games are provided. Heating is Calor gas central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Outside is a paved rear patio with furniture, and the lodge has off-road parking for 2 cars. The shop and pub are less than three minutes' walk away. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, but it must not be left alone in the lodge at any time. Smoking is not allowed, and bookings for work purposes are not accepted. Charging an electric car at the property is not permitted. Although everything is on the ground floor, the lodge may not suit anyone with limited mobility. Stays begin on a Friday.

It suits a couple, or two friends, with one dog who want a single-storey layout.
