Troopers Cottage

Troopers Cottage is a small Georgian house from the 1720s in the conservation area of Frome, on Trinity Street, once known as Trooper's Street. Catherine Hill is five minutes' walk away, the shop is 0.1 miles off and the pub 0.2 miles. Parking is on the street.

The ground floor is open plan, with a sitting area built around the original stone fireplace and bread oven, and a kitchen and dining area where a glass table seats four. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. There is a Smart TV, WiFi, a selection of books and board games, and gas central heating. The shower room is on this floor, with a walk-in shower, a basin, a towel rail and a WC.

Two bedrooms are up the stairs. The double bedroom looks over the street, and the second room has bunk beds sized for adults. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included in the rent, and a travel cot and a high chair are available. A Good Housekeeping bond is payable.

The small rear garden is fully enclosed, with a lawn, a patio and a table with four chairs. The fence is six feet high and the gate latches, which suits dogs, and two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed. A minimum stay of 3 nights applies.

It suits a couple with a dog, or two friends or a small family who like being in town and on foot.
