Barn Cottage

Barn Cottage is 2.4 miles from Frome and comes with access to a shared swimming pool. Pool slots are booked and paid for by the hour through an online booking page, and availability should be checked before you reserve the cottage, so settle that first if swimming is the point of the trip.

Downstairs is an open-plan room holding the kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area with a Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher. A cloakroom with a basin and WC sits on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with its own TV and a child's bunk bed, and the bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The bunk bed is for children, the cottage sleeps four in total, and an extra mattress can be put in the double room on request.

The front garden is an enclosed courtyard with a picnic bench, and private off-road parking takes two cars. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. A highchair, cot or stairgate can be supplied if you ask in advance, and a disposable barbecue can be bought on site for a fee. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, WiFi is provided and smoking is not allowed.

The nearest shops are 1.2 and 1.5 miles away, and a pub is close by. A good housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a family with younger children and a dog or two who want somewhere with a pool.
