Garden Cottage, Rode Farm

Garden Cottage sits in the grounds of Rode Farm, the owner's dairy farm on the outskirts of Rode, and is a barn conversion on a single floor. Fields where horses are trained lie around it, and Frome is a short drive away. The shop is 1.4 miles from the cottage and the pub 1.3 miles.

The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, dining table and sitting area together and a woodburning stove for colder evenings. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and there is a Smart TV and WiFi. Heating is electric central heating plus the stove, and fuel, power, a starter pack for the stove, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

The king-size bedroom has an en-suite with a bath, a hand-held shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. The twin bedroom has an en-suite with a shower, a basin and a WC. Outside is a gravelled garden with seating, and off-road parking for 2 cars.

No pets and no smoking are allowed, and the property does not accept worker or contractor bookings. A Good Housekeeping bond is payable. Fishing is available within five minutes' drive, and the booking details are kept in the cottage.

It suits a couple, or two couples who each want an en-suite, and who have no dog.
