The Pump House

The Pump House is a one-bedroom cottage at North Perrott, just outside Crewkerne, reached by a path through mature gardens to a woodland glade. A farm shop with a cafe is 100 metres away and the pub is 1 mile. It is part of a manor house site, and guests can wander the gardens around the house.

The living space is open plan, with lounge, kitchen and dining table under large windows over a tiled floor. A wood burner sits in the lounge corner, beside the TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice compartment, a washing machine/dryer and a dishwasher. A bespoke spiral staircase leads up from the main living area to the galleried double bedroom. The one bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. Wi-Fi is unavailable, although mobile signal is good depending on the network.

The enclosed back garden is ringed by trees, and the shared tennis courts are open to guests. Off-road parking takes two cars and there is bike storage. A local-produce welcome pack is included, and the cricket club nearby opens a bar during matches. The property has CCTV at the front covering the parking area and the road.

Up to three dogs are allowed, with additional charges possible. They can run off the lead in the cottage's main garden but must be on a lead in the other gardens because of livestock. Check-in is from 4pm and departure before 10am. It suits a couple with dogs who want a quiet base and a court to play on.
