The Pigsty - Orchard Farm

Two en-suite bedrooms sit at opposite ends of The Pigsty, a barn conversion on Orchard Farm in the hamlet of Knapp, so two couples each get their own shower room. One bedroom has a king-size bed. The other has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made into a twin if you ask when booking.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has apex ceilings, beams and oak flooring, with a wood burner that comes with a starter pack; more logs can be bought from the owner. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a Nespresso Vertuo machine, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is also a cloakroom with a WC, and a Smart TV in the lounge and both bedrooms.

The walled courtyard garden is enclosed and has a table and chairs, a charcoal BBQ and a private wood-fired hot tub, which comes with a starter pack and more wood from the owner. The owners' tennis court can be used, but equipment is not supplied. Parking for two cars is private and off the road.

Knapp is a hamlet just outside North Curry, which has a shop and post office, a coffee shop and a pub; Taunton is about seven miles away, and a shop and pub are 1.5 miles off. The water supply is private, and the owner can arrange a local safari. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Up to two dogs can stay, with extra charges possible. The Pigsty can be booked together with The Tractor Barn, which sleeps 2, subject to availability. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out before 10:00. It suits two couples, or a family of four with dogs, who each want their own en-suite.
