1863 Barn

1863 Barn is a single-storey property in the hamlet of Yarford, with a Kingston St Mary address, near Taunton. It sleeps four in two bedrooms at opposite ends of the building, each with its own en-suite. The pub is a mile away and the nearest shop three miles.

The open-plan sitting room, kitchen and dining area has exposed beams, a Smart TV and a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included. French doors open to the enclosed garden. The kitchen has an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. A travel cot and highchair can be provided on request.

The king-size bedroom is reached by one step and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The second bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made into a twin on request, with an en-suite shower and WC. Internal doorways are narrow, so the property is not suited to wheeled mobility aids.

A patio with a table and chairs looks over the surrounding fields and has a charcoal barbecue. Three steps lead up from it to the enclosed lawn. Two cars can park privately. Arrival is from 15:00 and departure before 10:00. Only children under the age of 1 are accepted, and dogs are not allowed.

It suits two couples travelling together who want en-suite bedrooms at either end of one level.
