The Old Thatch is a one-bedroom thatched cottage in the village of Porlock, within Exmoor National Park, for two guests. The shop and pub are 0.2 miles away and the beach is 1.4 miles. Minehead is 5.5 miles away, and Horner Woods has walking and cycling trails, and horse riding and kayaking are also available on Exmoor. There are steps down from the front door, which makes it unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility.
Inside is a double bedroom, a shower room with a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC, and a separate cloakroom with a second basin and WC. The kitchen-diner has an oven, a hob, a microwave and a fridge-freezer. The sitting room has an electric stove-effect fire rather than a real one, and the heating is electric central heating. A TV and WiFi are provided, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.
The roof terrace is enclosed and has furniture. Parking is available.
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed, and a bond is payable. It suits a couple with one or two dogs who want a small cottage a short walk from the village pub, with the beach 1.4 miles away.
