The Mousehole

The Mousehole is a converted barn in West Pennard, a village near Sticklinch, and it stands next to the owners' own house with privacy kept. Two double bedrooms sleep four. One is on the ground floor across the hall from the wet room. The other is up the stairs on a mezzanine, with a king-size bed, a glass balcony over the living space below and a TV of its own.

The open-plan living area has original beams, a large door to the outside and a Smart TV, and the dining table sits beside the kitchen. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave and a coffee machine. The floors are heated from underneath. The wet room has a walk-in shower and a WC.

The enclosed garden has a lawn, a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ, and parking off the road is for two cars. The pub is half a mile away and the nearest shop is two miles off. Glastonbury is five miles away, and the Glastonbury Festival site is 0.7 miles from the barn. The owners will take flexible bookings that cover the festival weekend if you phone to ask.

Two dogs are allowed, with extra charges possible, but none during the festival period. Guests with specific access needs should speak to the owner before booking, because furniture has to be rearranged, and the barn is not suitable for high dependency needs. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. It suits two couples, or a family with a pair of dogs, who want a ground-floor bedroom plus a second one upstairs.
