Daisy's Dairy - Somerset

Daisy's Dairy is a holiday home in a former dairy on a farm at West Pennard, a village near Sticklinch. Glastonbury is three miles away and Wells eight, with footpaths starting from the door. Inside, exposed stone walls, a window seat and old farming tools set out in the rooms keep the building's past visible.

A double-fronted wood burner stands between the kitchen/diner and the lounge, and heats both. The lounge has a sofa and a Smart TV. Beyond it is a games room with a football table, a TV and a snuggle chair, and French doors lead from it into the enclosed garden. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and there are a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Both bedrooms are upstairs. The king-size room has a Smart TV and an en-suite shower room, and the second room has three single beds. A family bathroom has a shower over the bath.

The courtyard garden is enclosed for pets and children, with seating and a private hot tub. The shared tennis court and the small honesty shop on the farm are open to guests, and wellness treatments can be arranged on site. The nearest pub is half a mile away, with shops and cafes within four miles, and there is ample private parking.

Three dogs are allowed, and extra charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. It suits a family of up to five, or friends travelling with dogs, who want a games room and a wood burner.
