The Milking Parlour - Heavenly Views Cot

The Milking Parlour is a single-storey barn conversion on a working 120-acre farm at Buckland St Mary, in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and it sleeps six. Taunton and Ilminster are both less than 10 miles away. Vaulted ceilings keep their original beams, and the floors are parquet.

There are three bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a double, and a zip-and-link twin that can be made up as a king-size on request. A separate family shower room with WC completes the bathrooms. From the entrance hall the living space offers a choice of seating and a Smart TV, with a dining table for six beside it, and the kitchen has painted cupboards, a wooden worktop and a ceramic sink. Appliances are an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with a freezer compartment.

Internet access is included, a travel cot and highchair are available, and the water supply is private. The enclosed garden has outdoor furniture and a charcoal barbecue. For dogs there is a fully enclosed 4-acre dog park on the site, booked separately through the owners' website, plus a dog wash area. The owner runs guided tours of the farm animals.

Up to four dogs are welcome, with additional charges. The way in is a long private farm lane, and parking is private and ample. The pub and restaurant are 2.5 miles away and the shop 7.5 miles. This property can be booked alongside another that sleeps a further four guests. Arrival is from 3pm and departure before 10am. It suits a family or three couples of friends travelling with dogs.
