Quist Cottage

Quist Cottage is a stone-built, semi-detached period house in the village of Hatch Beauchamp, on the edge of the Blackdown Hills. Ilminster is the nearest town. The cottage sits at the end of a small lane, and the Hatch Inn is 0.1 miles away, although the nearest shop is 2 miles off.

The kitchen/diner has a woodburning stove, a farmhouse table and a small sofa, while the sitting room holds a piano, board games and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Upstairs are a king-size, a super-king with a standard-length bed, and a bunk room, sharing one bathroom with a bath and a shower. A cloakroom with basin and WC is downstairs. Bedrooms have limited hanging space, as there are no wardrobes. The cottage sleeps six. Outside, a separate games room, unheated, has table tennis, a dartboard, and tennis, badminton and boules equipment.

Two well-behaved pets are welcome, with an extra charge for each pet per week or short break. They may use the kitchen/dining area but not the carpeted sitting room or anywhere upstairs. The large lawned garden has a paved patio and a barbecue; it may not be fully secure for small dogs. Three cars can park off the road. WiFi, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer are provided, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. The cottage is non-smoking, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable.

It suits a family or group of six with one or two dogs who want a big garden and a place to play indoors.
