Curlew Cottage

Curlew Cottage is a detached house in North Curry, a village 6.9 miles from Taunton, with countryside views from the back. The wider area includes the town of Ilminster. A park and playing fields are a two-minute walk away, and the village shop is 0.5 miles off.

Downstairs are a navy kitchen/diner, a utility room with a washing machine, a sitting room with a woodburning stove and a snug/study with books and board games. The gas hob, oven, air fryer, coffee machine, microwave, fridge and dishwasher cover cooking. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a king-size, a twin and a single, with a bathroom that has a freestanding bath. A second shower room, with a walk-in shower, is on the ground floor. Gas central heating includes underfloor heating downstairs.

The rear garden has a lawn, a patio with furniture and a barbecue, plus a gazebo, and there is a front garden too. Private parking is off the road for two cars. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove, bed linen and towels are included. WiFi and Alexa are provided. Pets are not allowed and smoking is not permitted. The cottage takes holiday bookings only, not contractor stays, and a Good Housekeeping bond is payable.

It suits a family or small group of up to five who like cooking at home and spending evenings by a stove.
