The Lazy Sheep Barn

The Lazy Sheep Barn is a detached conversion at Brushford, on the edge of Exmoor and near Dulverton, with a 60-acre valley to itself. Shops are 3 miles from the barn and the nearest pub is 2 miles. Minehead's beaches are 15 miles away.

Every bedroom is en-suite. The super-king room on the ground floor can be made up as a twin on request, and the first floor holds a king and a twin at one end of the house and a king and a double up the second staircase. Two of the bathrooms have showers only and three have a shower over the bath. A cloakroom with a WC is on the ground floor. The barn is booked for ten.

The lounge has several large sofas and a wood burner with logs provided, and the kitchen/diner opens to the garden through bi-fold doors. Kitchen equipment includes a range oven, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and wine cooler, with a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room. Wi-Fi comes over fibre broadband. Stair gates, two travel cots and two highchairs are available.

Outside are a private hot tub, a barbecue, a fire pit, a three-hole pitch and putt course (which may be unplayable after very wet weather) and a lake for wild swimming, which can be very deep, so guests look after themselves there. A stream runs about 50 yards from the patio, so children need supervision. A private games barn holds a pool table, table football and table tennis. Electric cars can be plugged in for an extra charge arranged with the owner. Three dogs are welcome, additional charges may apply, and the utility room has a stable door for leaving them while you are out.

It suits a large family or two groups of friends who want en-suite rooms and space to spread out.
