The Hayloft - Dulverton

The Hayloft is a detached stone barn conversion 2.5 miles from Dulverton, which is also the distance to the nearest shop and pub. The beach is 20 miles away. The Exe Valley Way passes the front of the barn, so walkers sometimes go by, though the path is not very busy. A bench outside is a place for a morning coffee.

The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner downstairs has a four-person table, an electric oven, an induction hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher. Also downstairs is a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room; a small double sofa bed is available there, though linen is not provided for it. Upstairs is the lounge, with exposed beams and deep sofas, and a second king-size bedroom whose zip-and-link bed can become a twin on request. Its en-suite has a shower and a hip bath that is very small. The Hayloft is booked for four. A travel cot and a highchair can be provided.

Outside is a shared garden with a lawn and outdoor furniture, 25 yards from the barn, and there is private off-road parking for two cars. The water pressure can be poor. Two dogs are welcome, and additional charges may apply.

The Hayloft suits two couples or two friends who do not mind stairs between the lounge and the kitchen.
